Swirl Hat

This is my attempt at the "Swirl Hat".  This pattern can be made in different sizes depending on the needle size and how many you cast on. I used US6 16 inch circular needles and US 6 DPNs. I also used a soft fingering weight yarn.  I casted on 72. The new stitch I did on this hat is K3tog. This was my first time with that stitch and it was not easy for me. I will try this pattern again in different sizes. The size goes from preemit to adult.

John Hat (Checkerboard beanie)

This pattern is from the Knitting 2014 pattern a day calendar, Wednesday March 26.  The skill level is easy. The pattern is actually a basket weave. K4 P4 in the round. This pattern is a childs size but I can also make an adult size too.

Maile Beanie

I just finished a new baby hat. This pattern is called "The Maile Beanie".  This is similar to the hats I have been making but it has the lace pattern to make it littlle more difficult. Once I got the hang of it, it was quite easy. I do like the pattern. It was very easy to understand. To make the lace, need to yo (yarn over) and skp (slip knit 1 pass slip over knit).
